In this position, we expect to take ownership of our backend area. We'll rely on you for guidance on the right architecture for new features and products. You'll also need to stay on top of new technologies and guide us in implementing new technologies accomplishing our business goals. Regarding our current stack, we use AWS Serverless, MongoDB, Angular and Vue.js on the frontend, transmitting 5TB of data per month between all Kiosk devices. Won't be boring :-)

Required Qualifications

• Upper-intermediate to fluent speaking and writing English. Able to have a real-time conversation.
• 5+ years of full-time hands-on Total Development experience.
• 4+ years of full-time hands-on Node.js experience.
• 4+ years of full-time hands-on MongoDB experience.
• 2+ years of full-time hands-on AWS experience.
• 2+ years of full-time hands-on Serverless experience.
• 2+ years of full-time hands-on Typescript experience.
• 2+ years of full-time hands-on Tech Lead experience.
• We're looking for ""happy trio"" qualifications: AWS (including Lambda, SNS, and SQS), MongoDB, and Node.js
• Experience to lead a team from the technical standpoint, architect solutions, convince and have the team implement your technological vision
• Ability to make changes outside of the current specialized role like front-end, QA, and everything else that's required for a team to succeed.
• Must be comfortable around both frontend & backend, development frameworks and 3rd party libraries
• Proven understanding of cloud design in the areas of global infrastructure, distributed systems, security, and load balancing
• Experience developing Cloud applications with API management and distributed microservices based architecture
• Experience with data modeling and patterns using NoSQL database
• Strong knowledge JavaScript, ES6+
• Ability to challenge and improve the underlying technology stack
• Ability to collaborate closely with Scrum and Product development teams
• Ability to embrace and institute best practices and coding standards within the team
• Ability to contribute to research technologies and fast prototyping
• Ability to compose detailed design specifications
• Willingness to actively participate in root cause analysis and design sessions
