Client Engagement Details

Our client helps investors get exposure to fine wine and whiskey as an asset class. With a team of industry leading experts and an advanced proprietary algorithm, we're revolutionizing how we invest in fine wine and whiskey. Our client is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to support their mission to democratize access to fine wine investing. As a critical member of the engineering team, you will be responsible for supporting informed decision making across the organization. This role will report to the Director of Engineering and will work to keep the data pipelines working as they continue to iterate on the product and backend. Besides data analytics, the data warehouse supports downstream pipelines to power business operations in sales and marketing.

You Can Expect To

• Leverage our data warehouse (Snowflake)
• Work with ETL tools (dbt, Airbyte)
• Maintain reports on the BI platform (Metabase)
• Utilize Hightouch (reverse ETL)
• Maintain data documentation and definitions

Location: Remote in Latin America or North America

Required Qualifications

• Upper-intermediate to fluent speaking and writing English. Able to have a real-time conversation.
• 5+ years of full-time hands-on Data engineering experience.
• 4+ years of full-time hands-on Python experience.
• 4+ years of full-time hands-on SQL experience.
• 3+ years of full-time hands-on Snowflake or Redshift or BigQuery experience.
• Proficient in writing performant SQL.
• Have worked with Python for data analysis and/or ETL.
• Have worked with Snowflake, Redshift or BigQuery.
• Have experience using the command line and Git.
• Have a solid understanding of data warehouses.

Nice to haves

• Data analyst interest or experience.
• Experience with investment performance.
• Reverse ETL experience with Hightouch or Census.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent demonstrated ability.
