Our client is a Series A well-funded US start-up. Currently in a product market fit stage, meaning rapidly prototyping different features for new customers and trying to adapt to their needs, not focusing on technical excellency at this moment. Their produce is all-in-one recruiting platform that provides:

2. Email and phone number lookup
3. Email outreach and sequencing
4. Applicant tracking system
5. AI Recruiter capability Recruiting well can set a company up for long term success, while poor recruiting can set up a company for failure. We are working on a bold mission to replace the current jumble of multiple expensive and confusing systems all into a single platform at an affordable price. They have a remote global engineering team of 7 at the moment. Company leadership is based in Los Angeles. A fast moving startup that takes pride in a fast iteration style and transparency. They want to work with high-energy do-ers with heavy bias for action.

Role: Our client is a US-based company seeking a highly skilled Senior Python Developer with data experience to join their team. This is a remote contractor position, ideal for candidates located in the CET timezone or Eastern Europe due to team collaboration.

Responsibilities: Develop and maintain Python applications for data collection and analysis. Build and optimize a network of data acquisition tools and pipelines. Work with large datasets using technologies like EMR, Athena, and PySpark. Implement and maintain Medallion architecture for data processing. Ingress data into databases such as Postgres and search engines like OpenSearch.

Required Qualifications

• Upper-intermediate to fluent speaking and writing English. Able to have a real-time conversation.
• 5+ years of full-time hands-on Python experience.
• 5+ years of full-time hands-on Databases (Postgres) experience.
• 5+ years of full-time hands-on AWS experience.
• Should be able to work as a contractor (full-time, but with a U.S. entity)
• Strong proficiency in Python programming or any other programming background with current python skills.
• Experience with databases (e.g., Postgres) and data scraping frameworks (e.g., Scrapy).
• Familiarity with web browser tools such as Pyppeteer or Playwright.
• Previous experience in any of the following: DBA, Software Engineer, Data Engineer, Data Analyst, BI Manager

Nice to haves

• Hands-on experience with big data technologies: EMR, Athena, PySpark, Splink.
• Understanding of Medallion architecture.
• Familiarity with data search and indexing using OpenSearch.
• Some knowledge in vector databases such as qdrant
