Client Engagement Details
Our client is a globally recognized leader in interactive entertainment, operating one of the most played competitive titles in the world. We're looking for a highly operational, community-savvy advocate to support the game in Oceania. As boots on the ground, you'll help localize and execute community activations, grassroots events, and campaign strategies that truly resonate with local players. You'll work closely with our client's APAC teams to support direct-to-player communications, identify local trends, surface community feedback and opportunities, build and look after the influencer ecosystem, and collaborate with agencies and partners. This is a role for someone who lives and breathes competitive gaming and knows how to turn that passion into meaningful player impact.
What You’ll Do:
- Collaborate closely with the OCE Publishing Lead and APAC teams to shape local strategies for direct-to-player communications, ensuring a consistent and resonant experience.
- Identify where players gather, from Discord servers and fan sites to grassroots tournament hubs, and evaluate opportunities for local engagement.
- Help execute campaign plans at the local level, translating high-level strategy into community and grassroots execution that make players proud.
- Propose and lead the execution of events, meetups, and community initiatives tailored to resonate deeply within the local player base.
- Work with local agencies and vendors to ensure smooth, high-quality execution across all touchpoints: digital, physical, and everything in between.
- Regularly monitor and report local player feedback, community conversation trends, and emerging concerns to help steer campaign messaging and content.
- Design inclusive initiatives that celebrate community content and foster storytelling in collaboration. Identify opportunities to spotlight and elevate community-led projects.
- Monitor local influencer and streamer activity, track related KPIs, and provide reporting to ensure visibility into the success of our partnerships.
Availability: Full-time, 9 month contract based in Sydney under an onsite work model.

Required Qualifications
- Upper-intermediate to fluent speaking and writing English. Able to have a real-time conversation.
- 3+ years' experience working in and managing online communities, including digital marketing and influencer strategies.
- Strong understanding of the regional/cultural landscape and gaming communities in Australia and New Zealand.
- Experience with community best practices, including communication strategies, user acquisition, and driving users through the funnel.
- Strong communication skills. You are able to clearly convey ideas, build reports, and collaborate across distributed teams.
- Operational excellence. You're highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously with limited supervision.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
